ISOPE‑2022 Shanghai (in-person) Conference, June 5-10, 2022

On behalf of the ISOPE-2022 Technical Program Committee (TPC), we invite you to submit an abstract for possible presentation at the 32nd International Ocean and Polar Engineering Conference at Shanghai International Convention Center, Pudong, Shanghai, China, June 5-10, 2022.

In addition to strong sessions on existing popular ISOPE topics, such as:

Offshore Mechanics, Hydrodynamics, AI, ML, CFD, Hybrid Modeling, Comparative Study, CCP-WSI, ANN, Tsunami, Sloshing, Ocean and Wind Turbine Energy, Coastal Engineering, VIV, Ocean Installation, Polar/Arctic Science and Technology, Advanced Ship Technology and Mechanics-Impact-Risk, High-performance Materials and Welding, Subsea/Risers/Pipelines, Umbilicals, and more.

 Next year we will promote additional specialty symposia and focus sessions on emerging topics:

AI, Machine Learning (ML), Digital Technology, Control/Simulation, Underwater Technology and Robotics, Clean Fuels (e.g., Hydrogen, Fuel Cell) Technologies, Wind Turbine Floating Installation and Energy Storage, Remote Sensing, Environment Protection, Environmental Assisted Cracking, Asset Integrity, Deepsea Technology, Gas Hydrates and Deep Seabed Rare Minerals and Mining 

The 2022 Conference Proceedings with peer-reviewed papers in digital format will be given to the participants and will be available for order later from [email protected]. Individual papers are available from www.onepetro.org, along with the peer-reviewed papers from the additional ISOPE symposia: Deep-ocean Mining (and gas hydrates) symposia (1995- ) and the Pacific Asia Offshore Mechanics symposia (1990-).

Since our second ISOPE-1992 San Francisco, the annual ISOPE conferences have been the world’s largest technical conferences of their kind with peer-reviewed papers. The ISOPE-2015 Kona Conference broke the record with 1,750+ abstracts, with 867 peer-reviewed papers in the conference proceedings. We are excited to return as an in-person conference in 2022. ISOPE-2022 is organized by the International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers (ISOPE) and hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with 31 international cooperating organizations and societies.

All manuscripts are peer-reviewed prior to final acceptance. All ISOPE conference and symposium proceedings papers are indexed by Scopus, EI (Compendia), Google Scholar, Thomson ISTP, and others. All ISOPE Proceedings are assigned ISBN and ISSN. For ISOPE conference programs and publications, visit:
